Frequently asked questions

Can I watch a recording if I miss the live stream?
Yes. Use the same link to watch the recording after the service, including if you’re in a different time zone.
Do you bring cameras, microphones and streaming equipment?
Yes. We bring HD cameras, wireless microphones and a video switcher to change camera angles during the event. We stream and record on a MacBook Pro, using multiple mobile internet connections. Our wireless setup lets us position equipment out of the way.
Do you need the venue’s internet connection?
No. We bring at least three independent mobile internet connections and combine them for the stream. This gives us backup connections if one network has a problem.
Do you set up before guests arrive?
Yes. We aim to arrive at least ninety minutes before the service. We use that time to set up, test the stream and resolve problems before the start.
Can I restrict access to the live stream?
Viewers need your private link to watch. We keep the viewing page out of search results and can add a PIN on request. Share the link and PIN with the people you want to invite.
Do you keep backup recordings if the stream has a technical issue?
Yes. We record video and audio on their own devices, with additional recordings on our laptop and in the cloud. If a technical issue interrupts the stream, we upload the full recording for viewers to watch through the same link.
Can viewers hear speakers and musicians?
We place wireless microphones on the lectern and give the funeral director or celebrant a lapel microphone. We use a stereo microphone for singers and musicians.
Do I receive a link to share with viewers?
Yes. We send you an invitation link to a private viewing page. Share it with family and friends so they can watch on a laptop, smartphone, tablet or smart TV.
Can family and friends watch from overseas?
Yes. Viewers overseas can use the same link to watch live or access the recording after the service.
Do you offer multiple camera angles during the live stream?
Yes. Our standard setup uses three cameras for wide shots, close-ups and side angles. We switch between views during the service, so viewers can follow the ceremony while an operator adjusts another camera.
Will the filming disrupt the funeral service?
We set up at the rear of the church and use wireless cameras and microphones to keep equipment out of the way. Our crew wears black business attire and respects the space around mourners.
Can you integrate visual tributes or memorial slideshows into the live stream?
Yes. We add the original video or slideshow file to our streaming system and play it as guests see it in the venue. Your viewers see the tribute at full quality.
Can viewers leave messages or sign a virtual guestbook?
Yes. Viewers can leave messages on the viewing page for your family to read after the service. You can request a condolence page where guests can share messages and photos.
Can you provide a highlight reel for social media sharing?
Yes. Ask us for a highlight reel to share on social media.
Can I download a recording of the live stream?
Yes. We provide a full HD recording to download and keep. You can watch the service, eulogies or speeches at a time that suits you.
Could poor mobile reception interrupt the stream?
Yes. Poor reception or an equipment fault can interrupt a live stream. If that happens, we post updates on the viewing page and upload the full backup recording after the event.
