Service limitations
Stream Catcher takes every reasonable step to provide a professional and reliable live streaming service. Even so, circumstances outside our control can cause a live stream to be disrupted, delayed or unavailable.
These technical or operational issues include, but are not limited to:
- Internet or network outages
- Hardware or equipment failure
- Platform or website interruptions
- Power outages
- Bad weather
If a technical issue comes up on the day, the Stream Catcher team will make decisions on the spot to get the best result. That may mean swapping equipment or changing how we operate, for example in wet weather.
Where we can, we will let clients know about any downtime or disruption in advance. We may end, stop or interrupt a live stream or recording if we reasonably believe it is appropriate. In rare cases this includes content we consider misleading, inappropriate, inflammatory or offensive.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Stream Catcher is not liable for any loss, damage or expense (including indirect or consequential loss) caused by interruptions or failures in live streaming services due to circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Bookings and payment
A booking is confirmed once we have agreed the date, location and service details with you and issued an invoice under our booking terms. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, payment is due by the date on your invoice to secure the booking. We may release an unconfirmed date if payment has not arrived by the due date.
Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, contact us as soon as you can. Where a service is cancelled at short notice, or where we have already paid costs on your behalf, fees may be non-refundable. We will always try to find another date where we can.
Recordings and intellectual property
Where your service includes a recording, we will give you the recording and any private viewing link for your personal use. Private viewing links are for you and your invited guests. Please do not share them publicly without our agreement.
Stream Catcher keeps ownership of its own systems, branding and production methods. We will not use footage of your event for marketing or anything else without your consent.
Live streaming disclaimer
A live stream happens in real time, so it cannot be edited or censored. We work to keep the broadcast professional and respectful, but we cannot promise viewers will never hear offensive language or see inappropriate behaviour.
Where interactive features such as written comments or questions are switched on, other people may see or hear what participants contribute. Stream Catcher does not endorse or take responsibility for comments or questions from third parties during a live stream. Offensive language is not accepted, and we may switch off or remove interactive features if needed.
Including a comment or question in a stream does not mean Stream Catcher agrees with the views expressed.
Privacy
We handle the personal information you give us, for example when you make an enquiry or booking, in line with our Privacy Policy at streamcatcher.au/privacy-policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
