Funeral directors we work with
Live streaming for Galaxy Funerals services
Much of the work at Galaxy Funerals in Gladesville is for Sydney's Chinese Australian community, though it arranges funerals right across the city. We stream services with the Galaxy team for families here and relatives overseas.
About Galaxy Funerals
Galaxy staff speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English. The business arranges Chinese funerals as well as multi-faith and non-religious services, and families can speak with the team in the language they are most comfortable using. The office is at Gladesville, on the north side of the Parramatta River.
For relatives in Hong Kong or mainland China, Sydney is only two or three hours ahead. That means a morning service here can be watched live there at a reasonable hour. We run at least three cameras on our own mobile internet, and anyone who misses the live stream can watch the family's recording later.

What your family receives
We work with Galaxy regularly and get on well with their team. On the day we fit in around their staff and the running of the service.
- A private link for family and friends, sent before the day so everyone can check it works.
- At least three cameras, set up quietly before guests arrive.
- Our own mobile internet connections, so the stream does not depend on the venue wifi.
- A full recording of the service to download and keep.
Chapels and churches nearby
We have filmed services at all of these venues, so we know the rooms before we arrive.
Questions families ask
Can Galaxy Funerals arrange a live stream?
Yes. Ask your Galaxy arranger to book Stream Catcher, and they can pass the details to us in English. We handle the cameras, internet and private link. The family gets a recording after the service to share with relatives who could not watch live.
Can family in Hong Kong watch the stream live?
Yes. The private link opens in a web browser on a phone or computer. Hong Kong is two or three hours behind Sydney, depending on daylight saving, so a 10am service in Sydney starts at 7am or 8am there. The family also gets the recording to pass on.
