About Our Lady of Lebanon Co-Cathedral
The church was consecrated in 1978 and became a co-cathedral of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of St Maron of Sydney in 2014. It stands at 40 Alice Street, Harris Park. An aged-care home opened next door in 2023. Services are held in Arabic and English.
Many Maronite families who bury someone from Harris Park have relatives in Lebanon who cannot fly out in time. A morning service in Sydney is the middle of the night in Beirut, so the recording matters as much as the live stream. We film the whole service in Arabic and English.
