Monks of the Lebanese Maronite Order arrived in Punchbowl in 1972 to build the first church outside Lebanon named for St Charbel. We stream funerals from St Charbel's for Maronite families in south-west Sydney and overseas.

St Charbel's Church and Monastery is at 142 Highclere Avenue, Punchbowl. The same precinct holds a K-12 college and St Charbel's Care Centre, so the church is at the middle of a large local community. The monks of the Lebanese Maronite Order still run it, and services are mainly in Arabic and English.
