Funeral live streaming at St John Bosco Catholic Church

The Salesians of Don Bosco run St John Bosco at Engadine, with St John Bosco College on the same site. We have streamed funerals from the 1967 church for Sutherland Shire families and their relatives.

About St John Bosco Catholic Church

The parish grew out of the Boys Town chapel, which was in use from 1955. The present church opened in 1967. The Salesians look after both the parish and the college next door. The church has a memorial garden with columbarium niches for ashes, and it is open every day.

The parish already shares some Mass and funeral videos on YouTube through its funerals page. When a family books us, they get their own private link and a recording to keep. Some families later place ashes in the memorial garden, which gives relatives in the Shire somewhere close to visit.

Questions families ask

Can a funeral at St John Bosco, Engadine be live streamed?

Yes. The Salesian priests at Engadine have the final say, so your funeral director asks the parish office before the day. The parish already puts some funeral videos on YouTube. Ours is a separate, private link that only the family hands out, and the family keeps a recording afterwards.

Can ashes be placed at St John Bosco, Engadine?

The parish has a memorial garden with columbarium niches, open daily. Ask the parish office about availability and how a placement works. If the family wants the placement filmed as well as the funeral, tell your funeral director and we will plan for both.
